Crushing process means that the size of large rock parts is reduced and consists of following stages.

1) Primary Crushing Process (PRIMER)

It is also called coarse crushing or bulky crushing and can be thought of reduction of 1/3 to 1/7 of the rocks of 0.5-1.5 m in diameter. At this stage, the selection of the type of crusher is directly related to the physical properties of the rock. Generally, jaw and cone crushers are used for hard and abrasive rocks. In the case of soft and medium hardness and low pollution rate, impact crushers are used as a more economical solution for primer crushing in plants.

2) Secondary Crushing Process (SEKONDER)

In case that the feeded material size is around 300-400 mm, secondary crushers are used and the aim is to get the end product. [(0-60mm) or 40mm or 0-25mm]. At this stage, the type of crusher to be selected for the physical properties of the material is determined.

3) Tertiary Crushing Process (TERSİYER)

The third stage is considered in applications where the plus-sieze material in siezing of end products obtained after secondary crushing are not returned to the secondary crushing stage, and the aim is to obtain more fine materials or to shape the products. According to the machine types used, product dimensions to be crushed at this stage and distribution features show differences.

4) Quaternary Crushing Process

In order to obtain special-purpose very fine product groups, the fourth crushing process may be planned for crushing to take one step further after the third stage. At this stage, the aim is to crush under 1mm and obtain products. High-speed or pressurised special crushing machines and sieves are commissioned at this stage.

Crushers used in these crushing stages mentioned briefly are transformed into facilities with the most suitable and economical solutions together with more than 60 years experience of NACE in order to manufacture products comply with customer’s demands by using one or more of them in complex facility design according to the desired capacity, products, product distributions and features of terrain.
